Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Member Benefits

Since 2005, Grant Seibert has served as a paramedic in the Bay Area of California. Grant Seibert also spent 10 years in the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.

Founded in 1957, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) is the largest association of its kind, serving 4500 members. The organization focuses on using knowledge of human abilities and limitations to design systems, machines, tools, consumer products, and more for safe and efficient human use.

HFES members enjoy many benefits, including access to more than 20,000 articles from leading peer-reviewed journals, including Ergonomics in Design and Human Factors, the society’s official journal. HFES also develops and leads conferences where members can expand their knowledge and network with colleagues. These meetings include the HFES International Annual Meeting and the International Symposium on Human Factors and Ergonomics in Health Care. Society members have access to the career center and an educational webinar series, and may focus on their areas of expertise by participating in one of 25 technical groups.
